

Pediatric Mental Health Certificate
Designed to equip providers with a strong foundation in play-based mental health services, the certificate is available to masters level students*, licensure candidates*, and licensed providers. After completing a combination of supervised experience and training, providers are encouraged to apply for the certificate. Anyone who earns the certificate will receive a "Best Practices Stipend" to recognize their achievement.

SUPERVISED EXPERIENCE
Supervised experience is provided by a Relating Play-Approved supervisor. All supervisors have extensive pediatric mental health experience in Montana and are eligible to supervise providers towards Montana licensure. Certification requires 20 hours of supervision. Up to 10 hours may be obtained through a group format and 2 hours must be obtained through observation. Providers are responsible for obtaining at least 10 hours of pediatric mental health experience for every hour of supervision.

TRAINING
Training is provided by Relating Play. All trainings meet CE requirements for Montana. Certification requires 40 hours of training. Up to 19 hours may be obtained virtually and at least 21 hours must be completed in-person. All in-person trainings will occur in Montana.
